Benjamin Moore Paint Fans

As you are all aware, we primarily use Benjamin Moore paint fans as a reference tool for color your way samples. We justed wanted to let you know that we have limited amounts of paint fans available of the Classic and the Preview fans. If you need fans, we would encourage you to visit your local Benjamin Moore supply store (Ace Hardwares)and ask for them. Usually they will give you one set free but charge for additional sets. There are also online reference tools you can use for color identification or referencing, visit www.benjaminmoore.com/.

Nood Production Lead Times

This posting is a follow up to our recent un-manufacturing entry. Nood is committed to a true on-demand or made-to-order manufacturing philosophy that has been evolving over the last year. We have endured some growing pains in recent months as we have introduced our Nexterra backing system for tile and have had to make some significant adjustments to our manufacturing processes and procedures. The reality is that those challenges have forced us to make overall changes that have created a more streamlined system that is more rhythmic and structured than ever before.

The net result is that we are proud to announce our standard lead times for tile will be 6-8 weeks and broadloom will be 4-6 weeks. This range is primarily due the fact that we are making and dying a textile and then applying a complex backing. It is not a simple process and there are a lot of moving parts and challenges. It is impossible to predict an exact lead time or ship date as there are essentially three major steps in the process that take on lives of their own. These lead times are well within the standard expectations in the industry. I would argue that being able to offer the complexity and customization that Nood stands for and do that with no minimums and up charges at competitive prices and lead times is pretty compelling. Nood looks forward to growing and evolving with you as we revolutionize carpet one client at a time.

Stamp

As you may start to notice, we have a new stamp that we are placing on the back of all our running line color samples that mentions our recent switch to better green by weight numbers and recycle content. We wanted to give you a heads up about this so you would be able to explain to your clients what this stamp means.

The stamp will read:
Nood now offers better green by weight numbers and recycle content. Therefore, this sample is for color and pattern reference only. See current specifications at www.noodlab.com.

The patterns and the colors have not changed however, all of our samples were previously made in the older heavier threadup and some may have discontinued backing systems (such as the Envirocel Modular Laminate). Please be aware of the changes and know that if a project is specified from a running line sample we will have to send out a light weight version (made in the lab) for them to sign off on. We are handling this on an as need basis and are working from the information you have given us from your 30/60/90 projections. We feel that choosing not to make unnecessary samples was the environmentally and most economically route to go. If you have any questions regarding this stamp and how we are handling this transition, please do not hesitate to contact Lacy Price (lacyprice@noodfashion.com or by phone: 888-351-0306).
